Context & Challenge
Understanding where and how capital moves is essential for shaping investment strategy and advancing equitable growth. I was brought in to lead the design and rollout of a national investment mapping tool that visualized capital flows across U.S. markets.
The goal was to increase transparency, sharpen decision-making, and help the organization identify and communicate its investment footprint with precision.
The challenge lay in integrating fragmented datasets from multiple systems and departments—each with its own tracking methods, into a cohesive, user-friendly platform. The system needed to serve multiple audiences: leadership teams seeking macro-level insight, staff managing regional portfolios, and communications professionals translating data into impact stories.
My Role
Strategic Project Manager & Systems Designer
- Led the design and implementation of a national investment mapping platform visualizing capital flows across all U.S. markets.
- Coordinated cross-functional inputs from Development, Policy, Communications, and IT teams to ensure data accuracy and usability.
- Collaborated with communications teams to transform technical outputs into targeted narratives and investor-facing insights.
- Trained internal staff on data entry standards, workflow adoption, and reporting protocols to ensure system sustainability.

Why It Matters
This initiative was more than a data exercise, it was about building the intelligence backbone for equitable investment. By uniting analytics, geography, and narrative strategy, the platform turned complex financial data into actionable insight.
It demonstrated how data visibility drives alignment, empowering teams to make smarter, faster decisions and communicate impact with clarity across sectors. In short, it transformed how the organization sees and shapes its capital footprint nationwide.
